As a native Portlander, I grew up cleaning my Mom’s hair styling brushes for a dollar a day. This hard-earned cash fed my passion both for Skittles and Tiger Beat magazine (here’s looking at you, Luke Perry!) Fast forward to today, where working for Vanity Junkie allows me to always stay on-trend, learn new techniques, and perfect my craft as a stylist.
I find creative inspiration in music icons, from Siouxsie & the Banshees, to Wendy O. Williams, to all forms of David Bowie. Pin-up girls from the 1940’s and 50’s are my thang, and I have no fear wielding my teaser brush with a gentle but dexterous touch. Whether it’s rich warm colors or an edgy fresh new cut, I pour myself into creating a personal style that is glamorous yet easy to maintain. Don’t worry fellas - I’m also skilled at pompadours, fades, and clean classic cuts.
My style is also fueled by the city of Portland; this quirky, vibrant, artistic city we are lucky enough to call home. From art museums, to nightlife, to Sunday Funday with my friends, my inspiration is constantly renewing itself. When working with a client, my approach is to pinpoint where they derive creative passion in their own lives, and to integrate that spirit into a unique personal style. My wonderful tattoo-artist husband is a TALKER, which in turn has made me an excellent listener. So come see me, relax with a drink, and tell me about yourself – we’ll work together to create a new and vibrant look!
